Brantford's Got Talent 014
Last night many gathered in Harmony Square for City of Brantford's finale of Brantford's Got Talent. This was my first time attending the event, and I must admit I was impressed with the amount of talent in Brantford. It started with the top 8 performers showing off their talent either singing, or dancing.
It was fun to watch how the audience got involved with the show. Everyone was dancing, taking pictures, and having a great time. After each of the performances we heard from the judges what they liked and didn't like about the performance. The judges then selected the top 4 performers to go on to the finale. In the finale we had the opportunity to see the top four performer sing and dance their hearts out for their final performance on the Bell Stage at Harmony Square.
After their performances it was finally time to announce the winner. Both the winner and the runner up received the opportunity to perform on the main stage at Brantford's Canada Day 2015.
The runner up was one of the most talented signer I have ever had the opportunity to work with; Avery Kadish. She's only 13 but has been performing for 7 years. Avery was born to be on stage, she's acted in multiple plays, does voice over for a Disney cartoon, and has had the opportunity to work with Steven Spielberg. How cool is that!
The winner was a super talented dancer Quinn Morriss. Quinn is only 9 but has been performing for 6 years. WOW. For her winning entry she surprised the audience by doing her routine surrounded by puddles on the splash pad of Harmony Square. I must admit my heart sunk a few times as I was watching her jump around fearing she might fall. Instead she performed with grace, and end her performance big a band as her family lit up sparklers to cheer her on.
