Biking Brantford to Port Dover | A Friday the 13th Adventure on the Trans Canada Trail
I love biking. However I haven't been on a long ride for a while, and I wanted to start the season with a challenge. Each year on Friday the 13th motorcyclist from all around ride to Port Dover to show off their bikes, and meet fellow riders. As I woke up on May the 13th I could hear motor bikes taking the journey to Dover. So I quickly got up, packed my camera, a couple water bottles, and started my bike ride. My current physical condition is not something to rave about, and I knew the ride would be hard. And it was, the ride took far longer then it should have, and by the time I got there I only had an hour to walk around to enjoy the festivities. I needed to hurry back so I would make it home before sunset. I have to admit this ride wasn't easy it took me 7 hours to ride the 106 km in total, and I wanted to turn back a few time, but having a destination in mind made it easier to keep going. If you want to try a long ride my tips are, give yourself more time then enough time, bring lots of water, and don't forget to wear sunscreen.
